Ash

(Ashgar Riverdance)

wp-image-1497893005jpg.jpg

Gender: Mare

Year of Birth: 1999

Height: 14.2hh (147cm) shod

Colour and Markings: Bay with a star and sock

Breed: Partbred Connemara (1/4 Arab)

Bloodlines: by Ashgar Donegal out of Ashgar Rosalind

After a successful showjumping career under a junior rider, jumping 1.00m and easily popping over 1.20m courses at home, Ash’s long working life finally ended when she blew a tendon and had to retire to stud. God dropped her right in our laps.

Ashy has an attitude the size of China and doesn’t let nobody tell her what to do or boss her around. She will go to a Connemara stallion for a 2018/19 season foal.

Lady Erin (also known as Plopsie)

(Morning Star Lady Erin)

Gender: Filly

Year of Birth: 2016

Height: Estimated to mature to 16.0hh

Colour and Markings: Chestnut sabino. Rabicano too, just because.

Breed: Half TB, half SAW

Bloodlines: Exavior (Esaro W) x Mogok xx x Western Winter xx

Lady E is our first Morning Star foal, born at four in the afternoon on a beautiful spring day with zero complications thanks to the businesslike attitude of her mom, Milady. She is a sassy little beast but as clever as they come and full of try.

Lady Erin was bred for eventing, preferably under a junior, and is available for sale. Her sire’s lines extend to Rivale d’Or BWP and Military Song xx. Her sire’s sire Esaro W is currently successfully jumping in the 1.30m classes.

Milady

(Magic Lady xx)

Milady1

Gender: Mare

Year of Birth: 2008

Height: 15.3h

Colour and Markings: Bay with a stripe and socks

Breed: Thoroughbred

Bloodlines: Mogok x Western Winter x Ginostrelli

Milady was a successful racehorse in her day before retiring to a Thoroughbred stud, which promptly went bankrupt and sold out all their good mares for peanuts. Via a stud I was riding for at the time, Milady ended up in our herd.

A refined and deeply athletic mare, Milady’s main feature is her truly amazing temperament. I don’t ride horses off the track as a rule, but she’s been on hacks and taught beginner lessons like any sturdy old Nooitie. She always has full composure and control of herself and the situation, and carries herself like a duchess; a picture of serenity and contentment.

She bred us a warmblood foal to kick-start the business in 2016. She will go to Welsh Section A stallion, Waxwing Talisman, for a 2018/19 season foal.
